How much do text messages cost?
Twilio charges your own Twilio account directly at its published per-message rates (in the US, roughly a cent per text part plus carrier fees). We do not add a markup.
Do I need to register my number?
To text US numbers, carriers require a one-time A2P 10DLC registration (or a verified toll-free number) in your Twilio account. The SMS settings page gives you ready-to-paste answers.
Can I import my existing list?
Yes, by CSV — but only people who agreed in writing to receive texts from you. Anyone who opted out before is skipped automatically.
