Acceptable Use Policy
Effective September 24, 2026
Wise Marketeer lets you send email, WhatsApp and SMS messages and run ads that reach real people. This policy sets the rules that keep those people protected and keep our sending reputation healthy for every customer. It's part of our Terms of Service.
1. Consent comes first
- Only message people who gave you permission to contact them through that channel, and keep a record of when and how they gave it. The Email and WhatsApp tools store opt-in details for this reason.
- No purchased, rented, borrowed, scraped or appended lists, and no lists of people who haven't heard from you in a long time without re-confirming consent.
- SMS: marketing texts in the US require the recipient's prior express written consent (TCPA). Registration of your brand and campaign for 10DLC or toll-free verification is required by US carriers before sending.
- WhatsApp: you must have opt-in to message someone on WhatsApp and follow Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and Commerce Policy.
2. Make opting out easy — and honour it
- Every marketing email must include a working unsubscribe link (added automatically) and your valid postal address (CAN-SPAM).
- Honour opt-outs immediately. The Service does this automatically for unsubscribe links, bounces, spam complaints and STOP replies; don't re-add people who opted out.
- SMS messages must identify your business and explain how to opt out (for example "Reply STOP to unsubscribe"), and respond to HELP.
3. Be honest about who you are
- Use accurate sender names, "from" addresses, subject lines and ad text. No misleading claims, fake urgency presented as fact, or impersonation of another person, brand or authority.
- Send from domains and numbers you own or are authorized to use.
4. Timing
Don't send marketing texts or WhatsApp messages outside reasonable hours in the recipient's time zone (in the US, generally 8am–9pm), and follow any stricter local rules.
5. Prohibited content and uses
- Illegal products or services, or content that promotes violence, hate or harassment.
- Phishing, malware, deceptive links or link shorteners used to hide destinations.
- Sexual content, and — for SMS in particular — content that US carriers restrict (sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco/vaping, cannabis) unless fully compliant with carrier and legal requirements.
- High-risk financial offers (payday loans, debt relief, get-rich-quick schemes), unapproved health claims, gambling where not permitted, and third-party lead generation or affiliate list trading.
- Content that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy.
- Trying to bypass plan limits, suppression, security or rate controls; reverse engineering; reselling access except as allowed by your plan; or disrupting the Service.
6. Deliverability standards
To protect shared sending infrastructure, addresses that bounce or complain are suppressed automatically, and sending may be paused when spam-complaint or bounce rates rise above safe levels (industry guidance is to stay under about 0.1% complaints and 5% bounces). We'll explain what happened and help you fix the cause before sending resumes.
7. Ads
Ads you create with the Service must follow Google Ads policies and the law. Our ad policy pre-check is a helpful guide, not a guarantee of approval.
8. Enforcement and reporting
We may remove content, pause sending, suspend features or close accounts that break this policy, and we cooperate with carriers, platforms and authorities where required. To report abuse, contact us through our support page.
